In particular, the alcohol industry, as one of the components of food, medical, chemical and various industries, leads to the formation of a huge amount of waste, including wastewater. The food industry, like any other industry, has a negative impact on the environment. Water bodies are the most affected by the food industry. Almost the first place in terms of water consumption per unit of production is the production of alcohol. Consumption of large amounts of water leads to the formation of wastewater, which is highly polluted and adversely affects the environment. Due to the high chemical and biological consumption of oxygen, specific colour and odor, suspended solids, low pH value, the purification of such waste in the filtration fields, and discharge into water bodies is not possible. The purpose of our work is: 1) the analysis of the alcohol industry potential in Ukraine in recent years, and methods of waste disposal as a potential source for the development of bioenergy. 2) environmental aspects of the alcohol industry modernization at the present stage of development and implementation of modern wastewater treatment technologies.Item Ecological problems of enterprises of alcohol industry(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2020-02-10) Havryshko, Marianna; Popovych, Olena; Yaremko, Halyna; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityThe issue of industrial water treatment and food waste disposal is particularly relevant, especially for the alcohol industry. The problem of wastewater treatment and waste accumulation in the process of alcohol production is due to high chemical and biological oxygen demand, specific colour and odour, a large number of suspended substances, low pH. Therefore, the choice of promising wastewater treatment technologies is of paramount importance to ensure the ecological safety of the environment. The purpose of the paper is 1) to analyze the state of the alcohol industry in Ukraine in recent years, and methods of its waste disposal; 2) to investigate and determine effective methods of waste disposal in the alcohol industry.Item Experimental research of parameters of industrial waters of canning plant and bakery. Analysis of treatment technologies(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2021-06-01) Havryshko, Marianna; Popovych, Olena; Yaremko, Halyna; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityOne of the industries that uses large amounts of water is the food industry. Industrial, domestic managers of the production process stand out with it and enter the environment surrounded by contaminated effluents. Their main feature is the high content of dissolved organic matter and nitrogen. You can also create wall water to create aggregate-resistant colloids, which include animal and vegetable fats, proteins, starch, sugar, as well as salts, carbohydrates, dyes, thickeners, preservatives. As a result of the technology of treatment of such industrial effluents, is a combination of different technologies and methods of treatment and the creation of several units depending on the parameters of wastewater. The purpose of our work is: 1) Analysis of physical and chemical indicators of industrial waters of food industry enterprises, monitoring of their impact on the environment; 2) to outline perspective directions of technologies of industrial water purification and creation of closed water circulation systems.Item Handling the pharmaceutical industry waste in Ukraine and the UA(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2020-02-10) Popovych, Olena; Vronska, Nataliya; Yatchyshyn, Yuriy; Zaharko, Yaroslava; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityThe prospects of the pharmaceutical industry development are closely connected with scientific and technological progress. In Ukraine, handling hazardous medical waste is an open question. The rapid development of pharmacy in recent years has created and increased the possibility of the generation and accumulation of pharmaceutical waste at the enterprises and in the environment. Only a few enterprises deal with medical waste disposal. Medical waste recycling requires an extremely high level of attention and carries great risks associated with handling this medical waste. When medical waste is burnt, strong pollutants are released into the atmosphere – carcinogens, furans and dioxins from chlorine halogen compounds, namely dumping of the hazardous material that contains heavy metals, and is likely to cause bioaccumulative hazardous substances to transfer to the environment.Item Influence of air transport on the environment(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2023-02-28) Popovych, Olena; Zakharko, Yaroslava; Teren, Uliana; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityIn the modern world, aviation plays an extremely important role because it allows us to cover thousands of kilometres quickly. Every year, more and more new airlines are created, trying to win the favour of passengers. Aviation serves almost all points of the globe. The main task of the industry is to ensure the rapid and sustainable development of aviation technology and infrastructure and to adapt existing capacities to new opportunities for their operation. Air transport is an integral part of the modern system of economic relations. In the conditions of the progressive international division of labour and the growth of international economic and cultural ties, its importance for the world economy is becoming increasingly significant. Air transport belongs to the branches of the world economy that develops much faster than others. Today, one of the main sources of atmospheric pollution is transport. Although aviation is significantly (approximately 15 times) inferior to road transport in terms of the pollutants emitted into the air, it affects the ecology of the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere every day. The peculiarity is that aviation affects air quality at the local, regional and global levels, unlike other forms of transport. The share of air transport in the world economy is constantly growing, which is facilitated by both technological development and the latest developments in the aviation industry, as well as globalization and ever-closer business and cultural ties between different countries of the world (Civil Code of Ukraine, 2003).Item Influence of artificial acid rains on the soils of differentmechanical composition(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2017-03-21) Kovalchuk, Oksana; Malyovanyy, Myroslav; Popovych, Olena; Vronska, Nataliya; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityAcid rain influence determination created on the basis of sulfuric, nitric acids and their mixture on the chemical properties of soil substrates of different mechanical composition.Item Study of the anaerobic process of industrial water purification in combination with sorption methods(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2023-02-28) Popovych, Olena; Havryshko, Marianna; Yaremko, Halyna; Makovskiy, Yevhenii; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityThe issues of rational use of natural resources, ecological safety and environmental protection are extremely urgent and require immediate human influence on the optimization of technological processes, reducing the impact on the ecosystem. The implementation of food industry technology is accompanied by the formation of a significant amount of wastewater, into which about a third of processed raw materials go, and the concentration of polluting components in them is 10...100 times higher than in household water. The choice of wastewater treatment methods depends on their composition, prospects for further use, the economic feasibility of applying the methods, and the payback rate of the equipment. Therefore, the modern direction of the development of scientific research and wastewater treatment technology consists in the development of fundamentally new methods of deep wastewater treatment and the study of the possibility of using sorbents of natural and artificial origin.Item Wastewater treatment by ultraviolet irradiation technique(Publishing House of Lviv Polytechnic National University, 2017) Vronska, Nataliya; Malyovanyy, Myroslav; Popovych, Olena; Stokalyuk, Oleh; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityDevoted to the problem of sewage treatment by ultraviolet radiation. This method can clear the water from microbiological contamination and thereby improve water quality.
