Recently polymer-Laponite composites attached great attention due to their remarkable physical properties. In present paper study of aging process of aqueous suspension of Laponite and sodium polystyrene sulfonate is described. For investigation two methods were used: smallangle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and small-amplitude oscillatory shear (SAOS) rheology. Concentration of Laponite were fixed at 2.5%wt and concentration of PSS-Na was varied in range 0-0.5 %wt.Item Electrochemical deposition of silver nanostructures from aqueous solutions in the presence of sodium polyacrylate(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Topchak, Roman; Okhremchuk, Yevhen; Kuntyi, OrestThe silver nanostructures obtaining was investigated by electrochemical deposition from aqueous solutions ((1…10) mM AgNO3 + 50 mМ NaPA) onto graphite substrate. The influence of the concentration of silver ions and cathodic potential values in the range E = -0,2 ... -1,0 V on surface filling degree and geometry of silver particles was (had been) studied. It is shown, the discrete silver particles ranging in size from 50 to 400 nm with a uniform distribution on the surface of the substrate are formed. It is established that decreasing of the concentration of silver ions and increasing of cathodic potential tends to reduce the particle size.Item Effect of solvents on reactions of oxidation with aliphatic peroxyacids(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Natalia Matsyuk, Mariya Matsyuk; Volodymur DutkaOrganic solvents effect on the reactions of oxidation involving aliphatic peroxyacids was studied. It was found the kinetic and activation parameters of the oxidation of aniline. It is shown that the reaction medium has a significant effect on the rate of the process. The epoxidation reaction of α-pinene and Δ3-karen by peroxydecanoic acid was studied. It was obtain the equation of correlation that connecting speed reaction with the basic physicochemical properties of solvents.Item Mechanism of film formation during granules capsulation in fluidized bed(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Ostroha, Ruslan; Yukhymenko, MykolaIt is proposed to perform granules capsulation process in the device of fluidized bed. Analysis of different approaches to mathematical description of granules growth kinetics was made. Equation of size determination of received granules in the device is proposed including granules growth rate and changes of density of granules distribution according to sizes in film forming process.Item About radioactive waste disposal facility Buryakovka(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Koliabina, Daria; Beznosyk, YuriyFor over forty years now, many countries have been developing near surface facilities for the disposal of low and intermediate radioactive waste (LILW) generated within the nuclear fuel cycle and from the use of radioactive sources for different purposes. In line with the internationally agreed principles of radioactive waste management and the related safety standards, the safety of these facilities needs to be ensured during all stages of their lifetime, including the postclosure period. Today Buryakovka is still being operated but its capacity of approximately 690,000 m3 is nearly reached: Extrapolating the current disposal rate the remaining capacity might be exhausted before the end of 2013.Item The Preparation of 8,11- aminoderivatives of Cs-trishomocubane(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Gusinska, Julia; Levandovsky, Igor; Gaidai, Oleksandr; Prysyazhnuk, Kateryna; Shishkin, OlegThe nitrogen containing derivatives of CS–trishomocubane have been recently shown to possess pharmacological activity. The preparation of 8,11- derivatives of pentacycloundecane complicated because of transannular interaction in Cs-structure. The method of 8,11- CS– trishomocubane derivatives preparation based on using protecting groups was developed. The structure of newly obtained 8,11- aminoderivatives of CS–trishomocubane was proved with NMR and GC-MS spectra.Item Novel functional surface active monomers for synthesis of reactive surface active copolymers(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Borzenkov, Mykola; Hevus, OrestNovel surface active monomers based on derivatives of ω-hydroxy carboxylic acids have been synthesized. Synthesized monomers sufficiently reduce surface tension at the aqueous solution-air interface. The copolymerization of synthesized monomers with commercial monomers in solvent and emulsion copolymerization of synthesized peroxide containing surface active monomer with styrene have been carried out. The synthesized surface active monomers have been shown to be suitable emulsifiers for obtaining polystyrene colloid dispersions. It was found that the bromination with an aqueous solution of Br2•KBr is accompanied by the oxidation of the surface. The influence of the surface oxidation and heat treatment on the bromination of activated carbon samples was examined. It was found that the heat treatment can partially or fully recover the reactivity of the surface of the oxidized carbon materials by removing the oxygen-containing functional groups.Item Obtain of sulfuric acid at the electrochemical processing of eluates(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Gomelya, M.; Trus, I.; Grabitchenko, V.; Petrichenko, A.It is shown that by the electrolysis of eluates it is possible to obtain sulfuric acid solutions. It was found that in process of electrolysis sulfuric acid concentration can be increased up to 44% at very satisfactory values for the current output. It was found that with increasing current density the rate of electrochemical concentration of sulfuric acid significantly increases at the anode with decreasing acid current efficiency.Item Acrylic and Methacrylic Acids Obtaining by Gas-Phase Aldol Condensation of Carbonyl Compounds on B2O3–P2O5–WO3–V2O5/SiO2 Catalysts(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Nebesnyi, Roman; Petelka, Oksana; Shpyrka, IrynaProspects of acrylic acid obtaining by acetic acid aldol condensation with formaldehyde are considered. Complex oxide catalysts of the process have been developed. It is shown that raw materials costs in case of acrylic acid production by the condensation method are commeasurable with those in case of its production by oxidation method (main industrial method of acrylic acid production).This method of acrylic acid obtaining may be used as an alternative and enables diversifying the raw materials base of acrylic monomers production. It is shown that the developed catalyst is also efficient in propionic acid aldol condensation with formaldehyde to methacrylic acid.Item Disinfection of water with ultrasound in the atmosphere of different gases(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Predzymirska, Lesya; Shevchuk, LiliyaThe article investigates the influence of various gases on the destruction of microorganisms under the ultrasonic treatment of water. It is shown that, depending on the nature of the gas, which saturate investigated water, achieved vary in degrees of inactivation of microorganisms. Based on experimental data suggested the joint usage of ultrasound with nitrogen flushing is the most effective agent for the process of purification of natural water.Item SnO2-F Based Electrode Material for Synthesis of Sodium Hypochlorite Solutions(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Piletska, Anastasija; Girenko, DmitryKinetics of galvanostatic formation of hypochlorite-ions on the Pt and FTO surface can indicate the similar character, surface concentration, and the energy of adsorbed radical-type particles. FTO coating shows high electrocatalytic activity towards the synthesis of sodium hypochlorite during the electrolysis of dilute NaCl solutions.Item Photochemical Water Oxidation by Mn/V Heterobimetallic Complexes as Catalysts(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Pavliuk, Mariia; Mishyn, VladyslavIn this work we investigate heterometallic Mn/V compounds and their ability to catalyze photochemical water oxidation. A novel synthetic route is proposed for the preparation of Mn/V complexes in a one-pot reaction, following the “direct synthesis” approach, using water as a solvent. Two Mn/V compounds, (NH4)2[Mn2(HGly)(H2O)10 [V10O28]∙(HGly)∙2H2O (1) and (NH4)2[Mn( -HAla)(H2O)5]2[V10O28]∙2H2O (2) have been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-Ray analysis, FTIR and EPR spectroscopy. For 1 and 2 photochemical water oxidation has been investigated in a system using Ru(bpy)3 2+ as a photosensitizer.Item Modelling of controlled drug release from the solid phase through hydrogel membranes(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Melnyk, Yuriy; Dzyaman, Iryna; Antoniuk, Viktoria; Skorokhoda, VolodymyrThe cross-linked copolymers of the 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate with polyvinylpyrrolidone as granules and membranes were synthesized and their penetration and sorption-desorption properties were investigated. The masstransfer model of hard soluble surface through the hydrogel shell was offered. The developed materials are able to creation as capsule and granule polymer forms of the substances prolonged freeing.Item Extraction-Photometric Determination Of Cadmium(II) Using 1-(5-benzylthiazol-2-yl)azonaphthalen-2-ol(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Tupys, Andriy; Tymoshuk, OleksandrAbstract – A new analytical reagent for photometric determination of cadmium(II) ions was proposed – 1-(5- benzylthiazol-2-yl)azonaphthalen-2-ol (BnTAN). The complexation reaction between cadmium(II) and BnTAN and was investigated using extraction-photometric method. A sensitive extraction-photometric technique of cadmium determination using 1-(5-benzylthiazol-2-yl)azonaphthalen-2-ol after extraction into toluene was developed. The lowest quantity of cadmium that can be determined is mmin(Cd) = 0,30 μg. The hypothetical scheme of complexation reaction was predicted. The possibility of determination of other transition metals and the selectivity of the technique was studied too.Item Productivity of Self-Suction Mixers on Expense Coefficient(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2013) Storozhenko, V.; Shabratsky, S.Self-suction mixers are the most effective mixing devices which are used in technological schemes applying aggressive of a gas ous reagents. The known methods and calculations of mixer productivity for a gas phase are mainly associated with increased rotational speed and a mixer diameter. Changing these parameters automatically increases power to mixing. The article presents the results of research to increase the productivity of the gas by increasing the discharge coefficient..
