Item O projekcie internetowego słownika przysłów polskich(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2017-06-08) Kościelniak, Robert; Olas, Jakub; Instytut Filologii Słowiańskiej, Uniwersytet Szczeciński, PolskaProverbs are the wisdom of nations, however Polish lexicography does not pay them as much attention as the other language structures. First Polish proverbial collections are dated back to XVII century, however the proverbs themself became the subject of interest of linguistics only in XX century when „A New Book of Polish Proverbs and Proverbial Expressions” was published by J. Krzyżanowski. Since then no one has published a dictionary that could be compared with Krzyżanowski monumental work. Nevertheless, the times and technology had changed and they had serious influence on paremiology. The project of an Internet dictionary of Polish proverbs could be a response to the challenges facing modern paremiologists focusing on anti-proverbs, proverbs’ translations issues or some paremiological units’ extinction. The article contains short information about the history of Polish paremiography, modern trends in paremiology and proposed structure of an Internet dictionary of Polish proverbs.
