Like any other sources of electrical energy, elements produced using this technology must have a standard for assessing resource indicators. This is necessary for various reasons, but primarily operational. Among resource indicators, a special place is occupied by durability, which should be understood as using the battery resource for the longest possible time. But resource indicators for electrical energy storage devices, in addition to service life, also include such as charge capacity and electrical energy density. The mode of charge and discharge in which a specific storage element will be operated directly determines the preservation of its resources and ability to perform its functions efficiently. The use of a high degree of charge and a large value of the depth of discharge promotes the use of more energy but leads to faster depletion of the storage element. This approach allows it to achieve high energy efficiency in a short period of time, that is, here and now. In the long term, it will lead to a reduction in service life. At the same time, using a small part of the battery capacity, although it significantly increases life expectancy, greatly reduces its productivity, which ultimately does not allow the resource of the electrical energy storage device to be used with maximum effect. Therefore, in order to use the battery resource with the greatest efficiency, it is necessary during operation to focus on certain average indicators of such basic conditions as the charge level and depth of discharge while controlling the current, the nature of the load and the ambient temperature. To assess the possible maximum resource, it is necessary to calculate the amount of energy supplied throughout the entire service life. This method is based on counting the energy units that the battery is capable of delivering over its entire service life, and is designed to obtain the maximum amount of energy that the storage element is capable of delivering over its entire life span. This approach makes it possible to achieve an optimal ratio of energy density and service life, and, most importantly, to minimize the cost per unit of energy.42-44enDetermining the optimal mode for using a lithium-ion batteryArticle© Національний університет “Львівська політехніка”, 20233Determining the optimal mode for using a lithium-ion battery / Serhii Buriak, Oksana Gololobova, Volodymyr Havryliuk, Tatiana Serdiuk, Oleh Voznyak, Ivan Manachyn // Energy-optimal technologies, logistics and safety on transport : materials of the 3-nd International Scientific and Practical Conference, 9-10 listopada 2023 roku. — Lviv : Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2023. — P. 42–44.
