Розглянуто основні типи скла та його призначення. Зокрема виділено скло, що використовується в стоматологічній практиці, а саме склоіономерні цементи (СІЦ). Розглянуто склоіономерні цементи, їхню класифікацію, хімічний склад і технологічні параметри варіння скла. Проаналізовано способи модифікування “традиційного” склоіономерного цементу ніобій оксидом. Наведено технологію та параметри отримання склоіономерного цементу з використанням золь- гель технології. Відзначено перспективу практичного використання скла в таких галузях медицини, як хірургія, стоматологія, протезування та діагностика.The use of glass as a material used in medicine is reviewed. The main types of glass and its purpose are considered. In particular, the glass used in dental practice, the glass ionomer cements was highlighted. Classification, chemical composition and technological parameters of melting of ionomeric cements was reviewed. Articles with the modification of traditional glass ionomer cement with niobium oxide have been analyzed. The technology and parameters for obtaining glass ionomer cement using sol-gel technology are given.
