In the article the modern vectors of development of sociocultural communication conditioned by the current postmodern society were analyzed. The main challenges f information society such as domination of technical component in human life, the phenomena of cultural globalization and unification as a threat to the uniqueness of national cultures were characterized. The effective approaches and strategies, which enable active character of sociocultural communication of individual in present conditions, were researched. The necessity of assuring the active character of sociocultural communication through the implementation of dialog strategies, promoting integration, social consolidation of community was underlined.
