Спорт, як форма проведення дозвілля, сприяв формуванню моральних чеснот, дарував людині почесті, славу, публічне визнання й ставав атрибутом цивілізаційних координат, у яких жила антична людина. Upon those existing living conditions free time of an average Greek was considered to be the factor that determined peculiarities and the way the citizen was to behave. At the same time it guaranteed the satisfaction of his vital needs, among which the necessity of goig in for sports has gradually established. As a means of leisure time spending, sport has contributed to the formation of moral features and endowed people with honour, fame, public acknowledgement. Sport has eventually turned into the feature of civilization coordinates the ancient person was existing.
