Abstract
Окреслено шляхи пошуку архітектури українських павільйонів для світових
театральних виставкових форумів і зокрема ідею творення архітектури першого
українського національного театрального павільйону на Празькому Квадрієнале 2019.
The article presents the ways of finding the architecture of Ukrainian pavilions for global theatrical forums and, in particular the idea of creating the architecture for the First Ukrainian national theatrical pavilion at Prague Quadrennial 2019. The author has shown that during 15 years since the creation of the department of architectural environment design, the topic of theatrical and performing buildings and structures has been a leading one for scientific and research as well as project and educational activity. It has been reflected in the projects and implementations of permanent, landscape, mobile, detachable, transformed, theatrical and performing, cultural and educational and entertaining buildings. Nevertheless, it was not enough for creating the architecture of Ukrainian national pavilionsconstructions of a new architectural type for which the Ukrainian culture would have to be the idea ground and spatial construction would make the integration of theatrically-performing and culturallyeducational functions possible. It could be done using modern technical and technological equipment. In order to solve the problem, the author together with the colleagues has decided to use the structure of “kupala theatre” for staging the plays of “kupala drama” the origins of which are lost in the hoary antiquity. For this purpose, the author has reconstructed the image of “kupala theatre” and his main structural elements which have become the components of a future pavilion. He has designed the sketches, selected modern materials for preparing pavilion joints, agreed its scale with a scale of space provided for it by PQ 19 organizers in the main Quadrennial building “Industrial palace”.
