Item Місце соціології перекладу й активізму перекладача в сучасних перекладознавчих дослідженнях(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2017-06-08) Гриців, Наталія; Національний університет «Львівська; політехніка»The last decade has seen the increased interest among Translation Studies scholars in the issue of personal critique as related to a translator’s role in the society. Discussing the so-called sociological turn in Translation Studies, Michaela Wolf notes that it marks paradigmatic changes in reflection on the reasons conditioning a translation process, and relates to the problem of translators’ status, roles, ethics and responsibilities in society. The development of the sociology of translation in general offers a possibility to see ‘beyond the text’ and to investigate the roles and viewpoints of various agents behind the translation process. The present study examines selective aspects of the sociological factors and the various agents involved in the translation process, combining insights from the so called sociological turn and activist turn in Translation Studies.
