Item Assessment of pulverised coal and secondary fuel mixtures combustion using image processing(Видавництво Національного університету «Львівська політехніка», 2004) Golec, T.; Wojcik, W.; Kotyra, A.; Hotra, Z.Air stepping, which takes place in pulverised-coal burners, makes combustion less stable. Such a situation may lead to shifting the flame, unstable combustion and eventually to extinguishing of the flame. Adding secondary fuels such as waste fuels and biomass spoils combustion stability and leads to increasing corrosion and boiler slagging. Spatial distribution of radiation intensity (flame shape) and its changes in time domain deliver the quickest and straight information of combustion process itself. We have utilised flame images taken by CCD camera in a several combustion tests to find flame shape features, which would point a state of unstable combustion.Item Digital controller for diesel engines(Національний університет Львівська політехніка, 2004) Wojcik, W.; Hotra, Z.; Zyska, T.; Smolarz, А.; Kotyra, A.Air stepping, which takes place in pulverised-coal burners, makes combustion less stable. The article describes attempts to obtain information about levels of emission of NOx and CO from the signals of the fiber-optic flame monitoring system developed in the Department of Electronics of the Lublin University of Technology. Artificial neural networks are used for estimation of emission. The article contains description of an object and the measurement system as well as results of research of nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide modelling.Item Selection of wavelengths for optoelectronic CO and O2 concentration analyser(Видавництво Національного університету "Львівська політехніка", 2002) Wójcik, W.; Manak, I.; Kotyra, A.; Smolarz, A.; Golec, T.; Kalita, M.; Komada, P.; Technical University of Lublin, Poland; Belarusian State University, Belorus; 3 Institute of Power Industry, PolandMeasurement of CO and O2 concentration near walls of a power burner allows limiting adverse side effects of the low-emission combustion. Conditions in which the measurements have to be made restrain the selection of wavelength used in absorption spectroscopy method. The article describes the absorption spectroscopy basics as well as the restrains that have to be considered when selecting the wavelengths.Item Steady state optimization algorithm for industrial process control(Видавництво Національного університету "Львівська політехніка", 2006) Gromaszek, K.; Wójcik, W.; Kotyra, A.Наведено новий алгоритм “прив’язки до сітки”, який встановлює верхній шар ієрархічної керуючої системи. Цей алгоритм використовується для вибору реперних точок робочої оптимізації. Подано деякі особливості системи і розглянуто основні досягнення оптимізації стабільного стану. The paper presents a new algorithm Snap To Grid (STG) that constitutes the top layer of hierarchical control system. This algorithm was used for beet-slicers points of work optimization. Some features of the system were presented and general steady-state optimization approach was discussed.
