Item Conceptual approach to minimalization of environmental hazard for the Pokutsko-Bukovinian Carpathians(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-03-20) Masikevych, Andriy; Bukovinian State Medical UniversityThe existing conceptual approaches to assessment of the environmental security of the Eastern Carpathians have been analyzed. The original vision of the mechanism for maintaining sustainable development in the Pokutsko-Bukovinian Carpathians mountain ecosystem is proposed. The methodological approach used to determine the ecological status and the level of environmental safety of mountain areas is based on the use of sanitary-ecological indicators as sensitive determiners of environmental changes under the influence of the anthropogenic factor. For comparison of changes in the mountain ecosystem, the territories of the nature reserve of the mountain region were used as a standard. A system of engineering and management solutions aimed at minimizing environmental hazards in the study area has been developed.Item Sanitary and microbiological status of surface waters of protected areas and traditional economic landscapes of the Carpathians in Pokuttia-Bukovina region(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Masikevych, Andriy; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Yaremchuk, Valeriy; Kolotylo, Mykhailo; Masikevych, Yuriy; Bukovinian State Medical University; Lviv Polytechnic National University; National Natural Park “Vizhnitsky”The microbiological parameters of surface water as indicators of the ecological state of the Carpathians in Pokuttia-Bukovina region were studied. The water streams of the National Nature Park “Vyzhnytskyi”, where a specific ecosystem has been formed for more than two decades, were used as a standard for comparison. The possibility of using “biofilters” based on a synthetic carrier “Viia” for purification of natural water streams and raising the level of ecological safety of mountain ecosystems has been proved.Item Wood wastes utilization of the Pokuttia–Bukovyna Carpathians as the result of introduction of improved production technology of fuel briquettes(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-02-26) Masikevych, Andriy; Kolotylo, Mykhailo; Bat, Roman; Masikevych, Yuri; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Atamanyuk, Volodymyr; Petrushka, Kateryna; Bukovinian State Medical University; National Natural Park “Vizhnitsky”; Lvivskyy Beton; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityEcological danger from uncontrolled accumulation of arboreal wastes in the region of Pokuttia– Bukovyna Carpathians has been estimated. The optimum terms of wood wastes drying in an immobile layer have been studied. The optimum conditions for getting fuel brequettes from wood wastes by the pressing method havw been set. Lignin-containing industrial wastes have been used as a relating component. The principal technological scheme has been offered for fuel granules production from wood wastes by the pressing method.
