Item Overview: the prospect of the use of energy crops for biological reclamation of disturbed lands(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-02-26) Shkvirko, Oksana; Tymchuk, Ivan; Holets, Natalia; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityThe article deals with the theoretical principles of the biological reclamation of disturbed lands. The best types of plants to be used for biological reclamation of disturbed lands are determined. The successful experience of biological land reclamation in Ukraine as a result of mining and extraction works is analyzed. The possibility of application of such energy crops as miskanthus, switchgrass, poplar, willow and paulowniaItem The influence of terrain, climatic conditions and factors on the atmospheric air monitoring system, based on the implementation of eu legislation on the example of Lviv region(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2023-02-28) Kravets, Ihor; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Tymchuk, Ivan; Shkvirko, Oksana; Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityThe article is devoted to the influence of terrain, landscapes, and meteorological conditions on the establishment of air quality monitoring points in the relevant territory of the Lviv region. The main factors affecting the distribution of the concentration of pollutants in atmospheric air during the design of air monitoring stations have been determined. It was established that the level of the surface concentration of pollutants increases with an increase in the power of the emission source, the density, and size of impurity particles, and decreases with an increase in the height and radius of the orifice of the emission source, the temperature of the emission, and the rate of release of impurities from the source.Item The use of bioindication to determine the possibility of sludge recovery after biological treatment of wastewater(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Shkvirko, Oksana; Tymchuk, Ivan; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Lviv Polytechnic National UniversityThese studies were conducted to test the hypothesis that sewage sludge from Lviv municipal wastewater treatment plants (LMWWTP) facilities can be used to create a substrate that can be used for biological reclamation. The qualitative composition of sewage sludge from Lviv municipal wastewater treatment plants is determined. The study of bioindication of a mixture of sludge with dark gray soil was carried out in two stages, which showed a significant difference between fresh and settled sludge. Possible conditions for the use of sludge in the substrate are presented.
