Abstract
The objective of this bachelor’s qualification work is to develop a system for
automated monitoring of greenhouse microclimate parameters using Internet of
Things (IoT) devices. This system is designed to create favorable conditions for plant
growth, reduce resource consumption, and optimize the process of microclimate
control in agricultural facilities. It combines a hardware platform based on the ESP32
microcontroller with a set of sensors to monitor key environmental indicators.
The main goal is to create a reliable platform capable of automatically
measuring temperature, humidity, and light intensity, as well as controlling relevant
equipment — specifically, lighting via a relay module. The system employs the
ESP32-WROOM microcontroller, the SHT20 temperature and humidity sensor, the
GY-302 (BH1750) light sensor, and a single-channel relay module.
The software part is responsible for data collection and processing,
communication with the server, and executing control logic. A user interface allows
remote monitoring of parameters and manual control of the system. Both automatic
and manual operating modes are supported.
Preliminary testing results demonstrate accurate measurements, stable operation
under changing environmental conditions, and minimal response delay. The proposed
solution shows high efficiency in optimizing greenhouse climate conditions and
offers significant potential for real-world implementation in agricultural applications.
