    The paper presents the main sources of updating fund of electronic documents in the university library, which is based on the principles of correspondence between costs and benefits. Determined that effective management of this fund require systematic analysis based on its defined criteria. Effective technology of library collection is a series of sequential processes aimed at converting a large number of randomly placed in an ordered set of documents and further the preservation and operation of this set.
