This article is devoted to the
description of the intelligent information system for
the demonstration of machine vision. The main
methods of contour analysis are analyzed and the
approach based on the use of Freeman chain codes
is chosen. The recognition of machine vision
systems using Freeman coding is considered and
an example of recognition by this method is given.
Conclusions about expediency of its application are made.
