    The article analyzes web design terms with prepositive elements of foreign origin, describes peculiarities of their formation. It is found out that prepositive terminological elements of foreign origin which have been actively combined with both foreignlanguage and Ukrainian stems, have become a powerful tool for the creation of new terms in professional terminological system.

    Терміни веб-дизайну у фаховій комунікації: особливості походження

    The article is dedicated to the peculiarities of the origin of web design terms. Terminological units were divided into three thematic groups, within each lexical-semantic subgroups were singled, which makes it possible to trace the process of formation and modern functioning of the terms. It was discovered that a number of terms were formed on a basis of the existing in language lexical units of general vocabulary or narrow terminology vocabulary, including mathematical, physical, computer, publishing terminology; it was traced, that the creation of new nominative unit occurs in case of change of denotatum based on metaphorical or metonymic transfer of meanings. Terms analysis from the perspective of origin helps to identify the main patterns and development tendencies, and to systematize and standardize sectoral terminology.

    Синонімія термінів веб-дизайну у фаховій комунікації

    The pecularities of synonyms modern terminology of web design are the analyzed. The main reason of synonymic terms emergence and development are highlighted and variety of synonym ring is commented and the character of synonymic relation among the terms of this branch is determined. The research depicts the specifics of functioning of different means of expressing the selfsame or close meaning of terminology web design and promotes the solution of urgent needs of its lexicography and standardization.
