One of the urbanization models of the XXI century is a "smart city" – the space, pierced with information technologies. The main characteristics of the smart city are the safety of life, optimization of public transport car traffic work, computerization of public servants work, public use of electronic municipal services, energy efficiency, environmental comfort and control of the environment condition. The author presents also the results of analysis of museum websites selected according to the data from łódzkie voivodeship on the popularity of cultural places in Łódź.
