Electronic structure and luminescence mechanisms in MIMIII(MoO4)2 molybdates
(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2012) Hizhnyi, Yu.; Nedilko, S.; Chornii, V.; Nikolaenko, T.; Zatovsky, I.; Terebilenko, K.; Boiko, R.
The mechanisms of intrinsic luminescence in several molybdate crystals of MIMIII(MoO4)2 (MI = Li, Na, K; MIII =Bi, Y, Fe) type are revealed in complex experimental and theoretical studies. The luminescence spectroscopy studies under VUV synchrotron excitations are applied together with the electronic structure calculations carried out by the FLAPW method. Simultaneous analysis of diffuse reflectance and luminescence excitation spectra is used for determination of the energy gap (Eg) values of the crystals. It is found that the molybdate groups MoO4 2- play dominant role in the processes of intrinsic luminescence in studied molybdate compounds.

Synthesis, structure and luminescence properties of lanthanide compounds grown from phosphate- molybdate molten systems
    (Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2012) Slobodyanik, N.; Terebilenko, K.; Zatovsky, I.; Baumer, V.
The main crystallization trends of complex oxide compounds of lanthanides from alkaline phosphatemolybdate (tungstate) melts have been studied in light of structure - luminescence properties relationships. The regions of formation MI 3Ln(PO4)2, LnPO4, K2Ln(PO4)(MVIO4), MIMIII(MVIO4)2 from self flux systems MI–P–Ln–O (MI–alkaline metal; MVI–Mo, W) have been defined. The influence of MI/MVI ratio in the initial melt has been shown to play the key role in solid phase formation and structural peculiarities of LnOx polyhedral condensation of compounds obtained.
