Item Professor Victor Yavorsky – 45 years head of the department(Publishing House of Lviv Polytechnic National University, 2014) Kalymon, Yaroslav; Kunty, Orest; Znak, ZenovijItem Hydrolytic sulphate acid evaporation by waste gases from burning furnaces of meta-titanic acid paste(Publishing House of Lviv Polytechnic National University, 2012) Kalymon, Yaroslav; Helesh, Andriy; Yavorskyi, OlegThe advisability of hydrolytic sulphate acid evaporation by waste gases from burning furnaces of meta-titanic acid paste has been theoretically grounded and practically proved. The optimum regime of the evaporation process has been determined and masstransfer apparatus has been designed. The high intensity of the process has been confirmed by experiments. The dependence of the motive force and waste gases moisture on the heat transfer factor has been determined. Теоретично обґрунтувано і практично підтверджено доцільність упарювання гідролізної сульфатної кислоти відхідними газами печей прожарювання пасти метатитанової кислоти. Встановлено оптимальний режим та розраховано масообмінний апарат процесу упарювання. Експериментально підтверджено високу інтенсивність такого процесу. Yavorsky a short review of the history of the Department of chemistry and technology of inorganic substances, its present days, and prospects has been made. З нагоди 140-річчя від дня народження професора, доктора honoris causa і Почесного професора Львівської політехніки, колишнього завідувача кафедри І. Мосцицького і 70-х роковин професора, доктора технічних наук, Почесного професора Львівської політехніки, нинішнього завідувача кафедри В. Яворського, зроблено короткий екскурс в історію кафедри хімії і технології неорганічних речовин "Львівської політехніки", розглянуто її сьогодення і перспективи.
