    The influence of terrain, climatic conditions and factors on the atmospheric air monitoring system, based on the implementation of eu legislation on the example of Lviv region

    The article is devoted to the influence of terrain, landscapes, and meteorological conditions on the establishment of air quality monitoring points in the relevant territory of the Lviv region. The main factors affecting the distribution of the concentration of pollutants in atmospheric air during the design of air monitoring stations have been determined. It was established that the level of the surface concentration of pollutants increases with an increase in the power of the emission source, the density, and size of impurity particles, and decreases with an increase in the height and radius of the orifice of the emission source, the temperature of the emission, and the rate of release of impurities from the source.

    Regional aspects of heat supply in the system of fuel and energy complex of Ukraine

    This paper attempts to characterize the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine and analyzes the heat supply complex on the example of Lviv region. The main problems in the field are highlighted. The ways of diversifying fuel and energy resources of Ukraine are determined. The basic directions of implementing the alternative energy sources are analyzed. A comprehensive description of the alternative and renewable energy sources potential, on the examples of different regions of Ukraine, is provided. Зроблено спробу охарактеризувати паливно-енергетичний комплекс України та проведено аналіз теплопостачального комплексу на прикладі Львівської області, висвітлено основні проблеми у вищеназваній сфері. Визначено шляхи диверсифікації паливо-енергетичних ресурсів України. Проаналізовано основні напрями впровадження альтернативних джерел енергії. Надано вичерпну характеристику енергетичного потенціалу нетрадиційних та відновлюваних джерел енергії на прикладі різних областей України.

    Evaluation of possibilities and prospects of investment activities in Lviv region

    Development of investment activities in Lviv region has been considered with the aim to discover opportunities of increasing the efficiency of using the investment resources attracted to the region. On the example of Lviv region there have been explored the possibilities of forming dynamic-dependent levers for increasing the efficiency of investment activities, of controlling the investment instruments effectiveness in this region as well as regulating these instruments direction and impact on the expected results of social and economic development of the region that are laid down in the relevant regional programs. Розвиток інвестиційної діяльності у Львівській області розглянуто з позицій розкриття можливостей підвищення рівня ефективності використання залучених у цей регіон інвестиційних ресурсів. На прикладі Львівської області досліджено можливості формування динамічно-залежних важелів підвищення ефективності інвестиційної діяльності, контролювання результативності впливу інвестиційних інструментів у цій області, а також регулювання міри впливу і напряму дії цих інструментів на заплановані результати її соціально-економічного розвитку, закладені у відповідних регіональних програмах.

    Оцінка ефективності корпоративних фірм Львівської області

    Обґрунтована необхідність застосування сучасних підходів до оцінки ефективності сектору ділових одиниць у Львівській області. Для цього була сформована вибірка із 51 акціонерного товариства. Були зібрані дані про їхні фінансові результати, активи, чисельність зайнятих та матеріальні затрати упродовж 2007–2011 рр. Зроблені обрахунки за допомогою методу АСФ дали змогу оцінити ефективність кожної досліджуваної фірми по відношенню до усієї їхньої сукупності. The need to estimate the efficiency of the sector of business firms in the Lviv region was evaluated. Data on financial results, assets, number of employees and material expenses over the period of 2007-2011 for 51 joint stock firms meeting certain criterea was collected. Calculations were performed using DEA method which allowed us to characterize the efficiency of each of the researched firms relative to their entire population.
