    Усний англомовний академічний дискурс: структура, семантика та прагматика

    The article focuses on the studies of the academic discourse. It gives the definition of this type of discourse and its main features. It is proved that the academic discourse has the institutional, interactive character, is interdiscoursive and mainly has the form of a dialogue. The academic discourse is embodied into the number of speech genres, which all are differentiated according to a set of characteristics. The categories described in the article show the distinct place of the academic discourse among the other types of discourse.
