Abstract
Project documentation for the construction of a secondary school in the village Krasne, Zolochiv district, L’viv region was developed with the aim of creating a modern, functional and safe educational institution that will meet all the necessary regulatory requirements and standards. This project takes into account the architectural, structural, engineering and technological aspects of construction, providing comfortable conditions for learning and educating students.
In the thesis, according to the assignment, the building of the secondary school was designed and the following structures were calculated: foundations, staircases, precast reinforced concrete floor. The technological - organizational section contains a technological map for the installation of external and internal brick load-bearing walls.
The diploma project contains all the necessary drawings, calculations, explanations and conclusions.
General Overview
The high school building has been designed as a durable and efficient structure, utilizing a brick framework combined with precast reinforced concrete floors, strip foundations, and a roof supported by wooden beam. The project’s location has been carefully selected to comply with urban planning regulations, sanitary standards, and environmental considerations. This ensures that the school’s environment is both safe and conducive to learning, creating a supportive space for the academic and extracurricular needs of students and staff alike.
Architectural Solutions
The architectural concept focuses on creating a welcoming and inspiring environment that balances aesthetics, practicality, and comfort.
The internal layout is optimized through thoughtful zoning, separating academic areas, administrative offices, and technical facilities. This layout ensures not only the efficient organization of school activities but also safe and convenient movement throughout the building for both students and staff. The ergonomic design of spaces fosters a productive atmosphere while adhering to safety protocols.
Special attention has been paid to incorporating green spaces around the school, which promote physical and mental well-being among students while reinforcing the connection between education and sustainability.
Structural Solutions
The structural integrity of the school is achieved through a robust combination of materials and techniques. Prefabricated strip foundations form the base of the building, ensuring a stable and reliable foundation system capable of bearing the load of the entire structure.
The use of brick walls provides high levels of durability, thermal insulation, and resistance to environmental impacts. Precast reinforced concrete floors contribute to structural efficiency, simplifying and speeding up the construction process while ensuring long-term performance.
Engineering Systems
The project incorporates state-of-the-art engineering systems to ensure the building’s functionality, comfort, and sustainability:
Heating: A modern heating system, based on energy-efficient equipment, is implemented to provide consistent and economical heat supply throughout all areas of the school. This ensures a comfortable learning environment, even during the colder months.
Ventilation and Air Conditioning: Advanced systems regulate indoor air quality and temperature, maintaining optimal microclimatic conditions in classrooms and other spaces year-round. These systems are designed to meet health and comfort standards while minimizing energy consumption.
Water Supply and Drainage: Reliable water supply systems ensure uninterrupted access to water across all facilities, including restrooms, science labs, and kitchens. Modern drainage systems equipped with filtration technologies guarantee effective and environmentally responsible wastewater management.
Electricity Supply and Lighting: The use of energy-saving fixtures, such as LED lamps, reduces energy costs and promotes sustainability. This system ensures reliable power supply for essential school functions, such as computer labs and technological equipment, while minimizing environmental impact.
Safety and Environmental Considerations
Ensuring the safety of students, staff, and visitors is a top priority in the design of the school. Comprehensive fire safety measures are integrated into the project, including automatic fire alarms, fire suppression systems, and smoke removal systems.
