Abstract
Висвітлено напрями розбудови просторів і функцій Львівського театру ляльок
зусиллями викладачів і студентів кафедри дизайну архітектурного середовища
Львівської політехніки для створення на базі театру сучасного театрально-видовищного
центру для дітей та молоді у Львові.
Having analyzed previous studies of the theater network for children and youth in Ukraine and worldwide, it could be argued that the architectural typology of theatrical-spectacular centers can exist as a separate center building; as buildings located side by side and interconnected in the center; as downtown buildings that are located on one site or when the center operates in areas spaced out across the city linked by genre and function. The article explores the creation of projects as well as patterns of spatial and functional development of the Lviv Puppet Theater by the teachers and students of the Department of Architectural Design at the Lviv Polytechnic National University to create modern theatrical-spectacular center for children and youth in Lviv based on the existing theater. The main conclusions of this article are the following: – The project of spatial and functional development in the premises of the Lviv Puppet Theater proves that the management of the Ukrainian theater is looking for new forms. – The project dealing with development of spaces and functions has been created for the first time to initiate the theatrical-spectacular center for children and youth in the historic building of a particular theater as an element of a typological group. – The project proposals were approved and accepted for implementation by the management and artistic council of the theater, however the beginning was postponed due to Russian aggression against Ukraine.
