The paper considers content management in web portals, which are built on heterogeneous enterprise information systems (IS). A huge data bulk is accumulated by the enterprises, and it tends to increase further. Global distribution of the heterogeneous data and its weak-structured character complicate its uniform management. A problem-oriented approach for enterprise content management is presented, which includes a formal model and a software development toolkit. Implementation results demonstrate significant terms and cost reduction.uk_UA
