The article focuses on communication between members of parliament, viewed as a strategic process. It provides a comprehensive research into lingual-and-pragmatic features of parliamentary debate as a specific genre of political discourse. The argumentative strategy is regarded as the central component of the communicative model of debate. It is implemented through a number of tactics. Communicative moves, linguistic and speech means of their realization are analyzed. The research suggests theoretical and practical perspectives and directions for future research, while the comprehensive classification of communicative strategies and tactics still does not exist.uk_UA
