Терміни веб-дизайну у фаховій комунікації: особливості походження

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the peculiarities of the origin of web design terms. Terminological units were divided into three thematic groups, within each lexical-semantic subgroups were singled, which makes it possible to trace the process of formation and modern functioning of the terms. It was discovered that a number of terms were formed on a basis of the existing in language lexical units of general vocabulary or narrow terminology vocabulary, including mathematical, physical, computer, publishing terminology; it was traced, that the creation of new nominative unit occurs in case of change of denotatum based on metaphorical or metonymic transfer of meanings. Terms analysis from the perspective of origin helps to identify the main patterns and development tendencies, and to systematize and standardize sectoral terminology.
