Abstract
Проаналізовано знахідки ранньосередньовічного меча, бойової сокири, а також
струга, виявлених в одному місці у р. Західний Буг на північній околиці сучасного
Червонограда. Появу рідкісного для України типу меча у V–VII ст. пов’язано з
візантійськими впливами. Обґрунтовано висновок про різночасовість виявлених знахідок як наслідок тривалого існування переправи у цьому місці. This article analyzes the findings of early medieval sword, fighting axe and plow found in
one place in the district of Western Bug river on the northern outskirts of the modern
Chervonograd (reg. Lviv). Substantiated conclusion any times discoveries as a result of longterm existence of crossing this place. Battle-ax and adze can be attributed to the typical tools of X-XI centuries. Instead iron double-edged sword with a short straight, narrow bronze frog can be classified as type IV (known as the Asian) for the typology E. Behmer. This type of sword was common in areas where there was contact between forest and steppe tribes “epoch migration of peoples” is in the southern part of Eastern and Central Europe. Nearest analogies known from Eastern Ukraine, North Caucasus, as well as Hungary and Poland. The appearance of weapons in V-VII centuries connect with Byzantium.
