Abstract
Main objective of research is justification for functional and stylistic differentiation of national and foreign terms-doublets. The terminology of modern Ukrainian language is widely used by media. Differentiated approach to the use of Ukrainian and borrowed terms-synonyms should be applied following these principles: borrowed terms which shows a higher level of accuracy, monosemantic, no connotations, optimum use in the scientific literature, and their national equivalent that retain the unique national language and is more understandable to the masses of readers non-specialists use in scientific and popular literature, journalistic style that represents the multifaceted network media.
