Damage analysis and detection under varying environmental and operational conditions using a chaos theory methods
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2017-09-08) Buyadzhi, Vasily; Ternovsky, Valentin; Glushkov, Alexander; Khetselius, Olga; Svinarenko, Andrey; Bakunina, Elena; Odessa State Environmental University
The paper is devoted to problem of analysis, identification and prediction of the presence of damages, which above a certain level may present a serious threat to the engineering (vibrating) structures such as different technical systems (hydrotechnical equipment, hydroelectrical station engines, atomic reactors ones etc). Usually change of structural dynamic properties due to environmental, operational and other effects allows to determine the existence, location and size of damages. We present and apply an effective computational approach to modelling, analysis of chaotic behaviour of structural dynamic properties of the engineering structures. The approach includes a combined group of non-linear analysis and chaos theory methods such as a correlation integral approach, average mutual information, surrogate data, false nearest neighbours algorithms, the Lyapunov’s exponents and Kolmogorov entropy analysis, nonlinear prediction models etc. As illustration we present the results of the numerical investigation of a chaotic elements in dynamical parameter time series for the experimental cantilever beam (environmental conditions are imitated by damaged structure, variating temperature, availability of a pinknoise force). For the first time we list the numerical data on topological and dynamical invariants, i.e., correlation, embedding, Kaplan-Yorke dimensions, Lyapunov’s exponents and Kolmogorov entropy etc.

Modeling evolutionary dynamics of complex ecosystems using combined chaos theory and neural networks methods: I. Formal theoretical basis for application to environmental radioactivity dynamics
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2017-09-08) Glushkov, Alexander; Khetselius, Olga; Safranov, Tamerlan; Buyadzhi, Vasily; Ignatenko, Anna; Svinarenko, Andrey; Odessa State Environmental University
We present elements of the formal mathematical approach to the analysis, modeling and further prediction of the nonlinear dynamics of chaotic systems based on the methods of nonlinear analysis and neural networks. As the object of studing is the environmental radioactivity dynamics. Using such a combined method is proposed for the first time in the environmental radioactivity dynamnics studying. Use of the information about the phase space in the simulation of the evolution of the physical process in time can be considered as a major innovation in the modeling of chaotic processes in the complex systems. This concept can be achieved by constructing a parameterized nonlinear function F (x, a), which transform y (n) to y(n+1) = = F[y(n),a], and then use different criteria for determining the parameters a . Firstly to build the desired functions it is offered using the wavelet expansions. Further, since there is the notion of local neighborhoods, we can create a model of the process occurring in the neighborhood, at the neighborhood and by combining together these local models to construct a global non-linear model to describe most of the structure of the attractor.

Studying an air ventilation and pollution in an atmosphere of industrial city: elements of new modeling approach and green-city technology
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2017-09-08) Khetselius, Olga; Glushkov, Alexander; Safranov, Tamerlan; Buyadzhi, Vasily; Bunyakova, Yuliya; Romanova, Anna; Odessa State Environmental University
We develop the elements of a new generalized approach to natural air ventilation of the industrial city. It is based on the Arakawa-Shubert and Glushkov models which allow to give a quantitative reliable modelling an unsteady turbulence in the urban area and atmospheric ventilation dynamics. To calculate the air circulation for the cloud layer arrays, penetrating into the territory of the urban area, we apply the methods of a plane complex field theory. The method allows to calculate the convection parameters and shifting cumulus cloud ensemble from surrounung regions. An advanced mathematical method for modelling an unsteady turbulence in the city’s area is developed and applied. As illustrative example, we apply our approach to computing the ventilation potential and current function for typical (quite simplified) sinopticl situation for the territory of the Odessa city.

Strategic environmental assessment in conjunction with assessment of impacts on environment
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2017-09-08) Bojko, Tatyana; Dzhygyrey, Iryna; Abramova, Alla; Skladannyy, Denys; National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”
The tool for supporting the strategic environmental assessment of large-scale territorial entities’ and urban ecosystems’ development projects is presented In the paper. The concept of environmental impact assessment is used for the development of this tool. The use of the industrial objects’ ecological risk indicators for environmental safety estimation is suggested.

Mathematical modeling of the environmental radioactive pollution during oil and gas wells drilling
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2017-09-08) Burla, Oksana; Ablieieva, Iryna; Plyatsuk, Leonid; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Sumy State University
The aim of paper was development of an adequate mathematical model for predicting the level of environmental pollution by radionuclides emitted as a result of oil wells drilling. This problem was solved using Gaussian Plume Model which allowed to determine the concentration of radionuclides at a given point in space. Impurity flux density in Bq/(m2 s) was been simulated.

An energy saving during the filtration drying of dispersible materials. Choice of optimal parameters of the process
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2017-09-08) Atamaniuk, Volodymyr; Kindzera, Diana; Huzova, Iryna; Liuta, Oksana; Lviv Polytechnic National University
The results of experimental studies of the kinetics of filtration drying of disperse materials of different structural structure and dispersible composition are presented in the paper, as well as the dynamics of saturation of the waste heat agent with moisture during the filtration drying of materials at different height of layer of the last ones. On the basis of the generalization of research results, optimal parameters for the implementation of filtration drying were determined, and the economic effect from the introduction of filtration drying into production, per 1000 kg of dry material, was calculated.

Remote sensing of waste dumps in ecological safety management systems
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2017-09-08) Vambol, Sergiy; Vambol, Viola; Kondratenko, Olexandr; Suchikova, Yana; National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine
The paper describes an improved general model which is based on methods of remote scanning of Earth surface obtained by Space satellites with combination with GIS-technologies and methods of mathematical modeling. This model allows allocating and analyzing characteristics of carbon containing and organic components of places of accumulation of solid waste of domestic and industrial genesis of illegal waste dumps on Space images and also determining values of its area and dynamics of growth for monitoring of ecological safety level of urban systems.

Ecological safety of pesticide use in Ukraine
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2017-09-08) Petruk, Roman; Kostyuk, Volodymyr; Vinnytsia National Technical University
The purpose of the study is to determine the levels of hazardous pesticides used in Ukraine and the world and to identify the most dangerous of them. The main agrochemical manufacturers of Ukraine are analyzed and a list of active pesticide substances is made. The ecotoxic method has been used and the list of the most environmentally hazardous pesticides for the environment and humans has been established. The mechanism of increasing environmental safety by using different pesticides on agricultural lands with acid and alkaline soils is proposed.
