    The author researches the origin of ISAF and evolution of NATO military operations in Afghanistan and how the influenced on the security and stability establishment in the country. It is scrutinized the handicaps placed in the way of successful implementation of the mission and main conflict of interests among member countries of the Alliance. The author examines NATO’s role in Afghanistan and gives the assessment of its activity towards democratization of this country.

    The article is devoted to consideration of the conception of illiberal democracy in a modern political thought. Approaches which are presented in Western political discourse in relation to the analysis of conditions of illiberal democracy formation are being described. Special attention is given to the main theoretical principles of F. Zakariya conception, in relation to the features of forming of illiberal democracy.
