Research on the morphological composition of solid domestic waste of the city of Khorol in Poltava region
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-02-26) Holik, Yurii; Illiash, Oksana; Chukhlib, Yuliia; Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University
The article presents the results of the research on the morphological composition of solid domestic waste of the city of Khorol in Poltava region. A brief sequence of research is given. The comparison of the results with the known data on the morphological composition of solid domestic waste characteristic of the settlements in Poltava region is carried out. The conclusions about the results of the conducted research are formulated.

Solar power station as a “Green Key” certification factor
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-02-26) Klyn, Gabriela; Odnorih, Zoryana; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Svidovyy, Maryan; Lviv Polytechnic National University
The analysis of the negative impact of classical tourism on the environment elements is made. The generalized criteria for the eco-hotel and the environmental certification requirements of the Green Key Global Hotels are given. The calculation and selection of component parts of the network power station for the Derenivska Kupil apartment-hotel were carried out. The energy efficiency of the proposed solution is proven.

Overview: the prospect of the use of energy crops for biological reclamation of disturbed lands
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-02-26) Shkvirko, Oksana; Tymchuk, Ivan; Holets, Natalia; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Lviv Polytechnic National University
The article deals with the theoretical principles of the biological reclamation of disturbed lands. The best types of plants to be used for biological reclamation of disturbed lands are determined. The successful experience of biological land reclamation in Ukraine as a result of mining and extraction works is analyzed. The possibility of application of such energy crops as miskanthus, switchgrass, poplar, willow and paulownia

Surface wastewater treatment from various fractions of petroleum products from the territory of highway infrastructure facilities
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-02-26) Iurchenko, Valentina; Melnikova, Oxana; Mikhalevich, Nikolay; Borzenko, Oleksandra; Kharkov National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture; Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University
The article is devoted to the parameters of mechanical treatment of surface wastewater generated in the territory of suburban facilities of the highways from petroleum products (PPs) and their separate fractions. It is found that the open settling mode is more promising. The highest effect of treatment from PPs (within the range under study) is achieved at PPs initial concentration of 125–210 mg/dm3 on the third day of settling.

Socio-psychological essence of attractiveness for the subjects of entrepreneurial activities of adsorption extraction of Nickel ions (II) by bentonite clays
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-02-26) Sakalova, Halyna; Palamarchuk, Olha; Vasylinycz, Tamara; Petrushka, Kateryna; Zaharko, Jaroslava; Stocaluk, Oleh; Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky; Lviv Polytechnic National University; Lviv State University of Life Safety
The article considers an actual but not sufficiently developed problem of attractiveness for the subjects of entrepreneurial activity of adsorption extraction of Nickel ions (II) by bentonite clays. The basic social and psychological mechanisms for the adoption of environmentally-oriented activities are analyzed. The styles of entrepreneurs’ response to the attractiveness of adsorption extraction of Nickel ions (II) by bentonite clays are characterized. The process of sorption of Nickel ions (II) with a fixed layer of sorbent by bentonite clays is investigated. The main advantages of using bentonites in water treatment technologies are described: powerful geological reserves, cheap rock formation, simple preparation for transportation and use, the possibility of using spent sorbents in other technologies, eliminating the need for expensive regeneration. The influence of different factors (length of the process, layer of the adsorbent) on the degree of wastewater treatment from Nickel ions, influence of pumping speed on dynamic capacity of the sorbent is investigated and effective volume is determined. The results of the research indicate that the use of natural mineral sorbents, in particular, the bentonite clay of Cherkassy deposit, is promising and effective for purification of waste water from Nickel (II) ions.

Activator of carbon dioxide absorption by chlorophyll-synthesizing microalgae
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-02-26) Dyachok, Vasil; Mandryk, Solomiia; Huhlych, Serhiy; Lviv Polytechnic National University
The influence of nitrogen oxides on the СО2 uptake rate by chlorophyll-producing microalgae of Chlorella type was investigated. Experimental dependences of microalgae concentration growth over time under certain values of nitrogen oxides concentration in the culture medium were obtained. The mathematical model of microalgae biomass growth depending on nitrogen oxides concentration was developed. Based on the solution of the mathematical model and the obtained experimental data, the concentration of nitrogen oxides for the maximal microalgae growth was determined.
