The use of bioindication to determine the possibility of sludge recovery after biological treatment of wastewater
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Shkvirko, Oksana; Tymchuk, Ivan; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Lviv Polytechnic National University
These studies were conducted to test the hypothesis that sewage sludge from Lviv municipal wastewater treatment plants (LMWWTP) facilities can be used to create a substrate that can be used for biological reclamation. The qualitative composition of sewage sludge from Lviv municipal wastewater treatment plants is determined. The study of bioindication of a mixture of sludge with dark gray soil was carried out in two stages, which showed a significant difference between fresh and settled sludge. Possible conditions for the use of sludge in the substrate are presented.

Assessment of filtration water spreading on the surface of waterbodies
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Rashkevich, Nina; National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine
The paper is devoted to the development of the nonlinear mathematical model which describes the spreading of the liquid fraction of solid waste decomposition products on the surface of waterbodies. The solution to the problem of a lighter liquid fraction spreading is divided into three stages – the gravitational and inertial stage, the stage of surface tension and viscosity, and the gravitational and viscous stage. The author assesses the impact of dynamic processes оn the nature of waterbodies pollution.

Analysis of poultry manure utilisation methods to produce organic fertiliser
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Malovanyy, Myroslav; Odnorih, Zoryana; Kanda, Mariya; Lviv Polytechnic National University
This article provides an overview of the poultry manure utilisation issues. It gives a comparative analysis of the methods of composting and vermiculation, production of organic-mineral fertilisers, granulation and thermal drying of the output raw product. Integrated combination of granulation and thermal drying is considered to be the most efficient in the poultry manure processing technology.

Development of superphosphate based shells for the production of capsulated environmentally safe fertilizers
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Gurets, Larisa; Vaka, Viktoriia; Vaka, Sergiy; Sumy State University; Sumy State Scientific-Research Institute of Mineral Fertilizers and Pigments
The perspectivity of attracting ammoniated superphosphate based on phosphorites with content of P2O5 is not less than 19 % as the main phosphate shell component for the encapsulation of urea have been substantiated. The peculiarities of the kinetics of phosphorus decomposition with the formation of ammoniated superphosphate have been established. Examples of its use as a phosphate shell are given. The ecological feasibility of using it as a phosphate shell is shown.

The effect of pyrethrum and bacillus thuringiensis against the brown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha Halys (Stal) (Hemiptera: Pantatomidae) in Georgia
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Gokturk, Temel; Dumbadze, Guguli; Jgenti, Lali; Artvin Coruh University; Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University
The study was conducted for the purpose to determine the efficiencies of alternative biopesticides to be used in the control against Halyomorpha halys. NeemAzal® and water were used for the control. The most commonly-seen efficiency rates were determined to be 72 % with NeemAzal® in the nymph stage. Seen efficiency rates were determined to be 38.5 % with 600 ml/100l dose of Pyrethrum and 42 % with 500 g/100l dose of Bacillus thuringiensis. The impact rate of the biopesticides performed against the adults, on the other hand, was found to be 42.3 % with 600 ml/100l dose of Spruzit®Neu and 33 % with 500 g/100l dose of Dipel®DF. As a result, in the present study, it was observed that both pesticides were not to be much effective on the nymphs and adults of H. halys but NeemAzal® is effected for control.

Principles of justification of regional programmes of municipal solid waste treatment
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Safranov, Tamerlan; Shanina, Tetiana; Prykhodko, Veronika; Shynkarenko, Mykola; Odesa State Environmental University
It is the scientific justification of the regional programme of the municipal solid waste treatment (MSW) with the example of Odessa region which will promote the increase is environmental safety of the population, reduction of the negative impact on the environment by the improvement and modernization of the existing system of MSW treatment with final achievement of a “zero waste” state due to the transfer of the maximum amount of waste into the liquid secondary raw materials, alternative source of energy and environmentally-friendly organic-mineral fertilizer. Such approach differs essentially from the existing developments of regional programmes of MSW treatment and has a scientific - methodical and practical value.

The efficiency of wastewater purification from chromium (III) Ions by natural clay sorbents
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Sakalova, Halyna; Vasylinych, Tamara; Petrushka, Kateryna; Stocaluk, Oleh; Chornomaz, Nataliya; Sakalova, Halyna; Vasylinych, Tamara; Petrushka, Kateryna; Stocaluk, Oleh; Chornomaz, Nataliya; Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University; Lviv Polytechnic National University; Lviv State University of Life Safety; Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University
The study confirmed the promising application of clays mineral sorbents for wastewater purification from Chromium (III) ions. The process of chromium ions absorption from drain water by means of natural mineral sorbent glauconite in static conditions was investigated. The adsorption processes were adapted to the known technological schemes of sewage and polluted surface water purification from heavy metal ions. There were measured the technological aspects of water purification by using adsorption on natural dispersed sorbents.

Sanitary and microbiological status of surface waters of protected areas and traditional economic landscapes of the Carpathians in Pokuttia-Bukovina region
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Masikevych, Andriy; Malovanyy, Myroslav; Yaremchuk, Valeriy; Kolotylo, Mykhailo; Masikevych, Yuriy; Bukovinian State Medical University; Lviv Polytechnic National University; National Natural Park “Vizhnitsky”
The microbiological parameters of surface water as indicators of the ecological state of the Carpathians in Pokuttia-Bukovina region were studied. The water streams of the National Nature Park “Vyzhnytskyi”, where a specific ecosystem has been formed for more than two decades, were used as a standard for comparison. The possibility of using “biofilters” based on a synthetic carrier “Viia” for purification of natural water streams and raising the level of ecological safety of mountain ecosystems has been proved.

Ecological and genetic monitoring of the agro-and biodiversity of the coastal zone of Western Georgia
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-02-26) Baratashvili, David; Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University
The intensity of heavy metals, natural and anthropogenic radionuclides are studied in the cultivated plants and soil in the vicinity of the western coast of Georgia. It is shown that the intensity of their accumulation depends on the type of plant, the place of sampling and the ecological zone. The highest rate of natural radionuclides is 40K, and the lowest – 226Ra, from the technogenic radionuclides the high-quality activeness is characterized to 137Cs, and its accumulation is the highest in the soil. From the hard metals, the plants most actively absorb lead and cadmium.
