This article identifies the sources of
environmental hazard in the area of poultry farms
impact. The analysis of the nature and scope of pollution
is made. Developmental specifics of poultry farming in
Ukraine are considered. The prospects of the utilization
of natural sorbents in the composition of bedding in
order to mitigate pollution of the environment with
ammonia and ammonium compounds are studied. The
scope of reduction of environmental hazard as a result of
the utilisation of natural dispersive sorbents in poultry farming is analysed.

Groups of plants, that regulate gas
composition and the degree of air pollution, play a
significant role in solving a complex spectrum of
problems in the development of the modern city. The
system “plant organism-urban environment” is
indicative for the detection of dust pollution in
atmospheric air of urban areas, manifesting the response
of higher plants (morphological, anatomical,
biochemical changes) used in urban landscaping.

When 193 countries adopted the 2030 Agenda
for Sustainable Development, the concept of sustainable
development received a new wave of attention. The
present article argues that divergent views on the
concept actually come together to make a system of
common values shared by different actors across
different intellectual disciples. This, in turn, provides
space for experimentation and practical efforts in the
area of sustainable development.

The influence of the main sources of
anthropogenic pollution on the state of the air of some
industrial and urban agglomerations in Ukraine is
examined in the paper. The level of anthropogenic load
on the air basin from the stationary and mobile sources
of pollution is assessed, their contribution to the overall
level of air pollution is determined.

The article analyzes progress in the field of
water resources management in the states of the world in
the context of the provisions of the concept of
sustainable development. Comparison of countries with
different levels of development has allowed us to
determine key methodological provisions that are
proposed to integrate into the environmental policy of
water use at the state level in the developing countries.
The approach to the determination of the limit indices of
the human impact on the environment is proposed.

During the experimental investigations the
influence of different silicon deaerators, which are
added into the pulp to prevent the foam formation, on
oxygen saturation of waste waters formed during the
paper goods production from wastepaper was estimated.
It was shown that deaerators significantly reduce oxygen
concentration in waste waters and, consequently,
increase its danger for natural water basins. The
indicators of performance of the flotation in removing
deaerators from waste water were reviewed.

In Ukraine, there is still a great number of
unused, unidentified and substandard pesticide
preparations (PPs) and other toxic substances which
have an extremely dangerous impact on humans and
other living ecosystems and the environment. Besides,
more than 75 thousand tons of pesticides are imported
and produced annually in Ukraine, but some of them are
not used during the period of their suitability.
Consequently, when stored mostly in dilapidated
warehouses and repositories of agrochemicals, as well as
in the open areas, they fall into underground and ground
water, and then through trophic chains into the
organisms of living systems, causing severe poisoning
and diseases. We note that till now, the problem of
unsuitable PPs was solved only in the context of their
utilization or export for processing outside the state,
while the rest of this ecological problem – the
restoration of soils and the remediation of contaminated
lands at the state level, is not virtually solved. Therefore,
the substantiation of the scientific and practical aspects
of environmental safety management of such
remediation processes is on time.

Classification of macrophytes and microphytes
in the system of hydrobionts is presented, individual
characteristics of each macrophyte and microphyte type
according to the given classification are presented,
environmental problems concerning uncontrolled
development of macrophytes and microphytes in water

The development of urban tourism ensures
preservation and expansion of valuable ecosystems and
increases the level of ecological culture, which provides
saving attitude to the environment. The preconditions of
ecotourism development in cities are analyzed. The
method for evaluation of ecotourist potential is proposed
and tested on the example of Kyiv. The parameters for
the selection and evaluation of the objects that can be
used for ecotourism organization are considered.
