Аналізується матеріалізм, що претендує на статус “найбільш” наукової теорії природи свідомості, аргументуючи свої претензії шляхом застосування фундаментальних понять природничих наук. Оскільки сучасне науково-природниче знання переживає період переосмислення та трансформації класичних уявлень про дійсність, то це безпосередньо впливає на інтерпретаційні потенції матеріалістичного розуміння природи свідомості. The paper is dedicated to the analysis of materialism which pretends to have a status of ‘the most’ scientific theory of the nature of consciousness supporting its claims by the usage of
the fundamental notions of the natural sciences. Since contemporary natural-scientific knowledge endures the time of reconsideration and transformation of classical ideas about reality, it influences directly the interpretational capacities of materialistic understanding of the nature of consciousness.
