Item Condition and quality of the air of the Chernivtsi region(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2023-02-28) Chugai, Angelina; Nedostrelov, Maksym; Bratov, Kostiantyn; Odessa State Environmental UniversityThe question of rating of the condition of the air in the regions of Ukraine is very relevant. An important component is the choice of the optimal rating method. The purpose of the work is to review methodological approaches to the rating of the condition of atmospheric air (on the example of the city of Chernivtsi). The results of the calculation of CAPI and I5 showed that the maximum was noted in 2017 due to abnormally high concentrations of phenol, the minimum was in 2018. The value of I5 is fully correlated with the value of CAPI, which means the expediency of using I5 in particular for rating. According to the value of I5, the quality of the air is characterized by the level of "slightly polluted". Nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen fluoride and formaldehyde were included in the "three" priority pollutants. The value of In changes similarly to CAPI. In comparative analysis for individual regions, it can be used as an alternative indicator. The dynamics of changes in the index AQI for individual pollutants are similar to their time course. At index values of 100%, the air quality is characterized as "poor", although this corresponds to the level of the MRS. According to indicators of sustainable development in the "Ecological systems" category, a significant deterioration of circumstances is noted, for the "Environmental load" category - a significant improvement in circumstances is noted. The condition of the air underwent positive changes until 2018. Since 2019, indicators have deteriorated.Item State and quality of water in the Desna river basin (Within the Chernigiv region)(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2021-06-01) Chugai, Angelina; Hlod, Anastasiia; Pylypiuk, Victor; Odessa State Environmental UniversityThe Desna River is a tributary of the Dnieper with a total length of 575 km within Ukraine. 468 km of them flows through the Chernihiv region. The main pollution sources of the water bodies in the Chernihiv region are utilities. Continuous monitoring of the surface water state is relevant and necessary, as it allows to give a reliable water quality assessment, to identify the anthropogenic impact factors and to assess the technogenic loading in order to establish the level of water use and to develop a set of measures to improve the state of water and the environment in general. The materials of monitoring observations of the water quality indicators of the Desna river for a long-term period, as well as the materials of the Ecological passports of the Chernihiv region concerning the water use indicators, were used as the initial data in the work. The analysis of the hydrochemical regime of the Desna River over a long period was performed using a graphical method. The assessment of the technogenic impact on the water bodies of the region was performed using the method of assessing the efficiency of water use based on the water consumption and sewerage efficiency coefficients. The analysis of the content of the water quality indicators showed that constant exceedance of the MPC (Maximum Permissible Concentrations) in the waters of the Desna River within the Chernihiv region was observed in the content of phosphates and nitrites, as well as total iron and manganese. The results of the assessment of the technogenic impact on the water basin of the Desna River showed that the drainage coefficient underwent certain changes with the best indicators in 2015–2016. No sharp fluctuations in the values of the water supply coefficient were observed. The best values of the water use efficiency complex coefficient were noted in 2015–2016. In general, in recent years the efficiency of water using indicators of the Desna River water in the Chernihiv region has corresponded to the average indicators. The results of the assessment of the technogenic impact on all components of the environment in the Chernihiv region showed that in recent years there has been a tendency to reduce the technogenic impact complex indicator. In general, the Chernihiv region can be attributed to the second ecological district with a moderate technogenic loading level.Item Assessment of the quality and the level of the technogenic load on the surface waters of the Kherson region(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2020-02-10) Chugai, Angelina; Odessa State Environmental UniversityThe paper deals with the assessment of a surface water quality in the Kherson region, as well as the assessment of a technogenic load on the surface water bodies by the volumes of the wastewater and pollutants discharges over a long period of time. The problem of supplying the regions of Ukraine with water is urgent for many regions, including the Kherson region. The materials from the Regional reports, Ecological passports on monitoring a state the surface water as well as the data on the volumes of the sewage and pollutants discharges were used as baseline data. Water quality indicators was analyzed using the graphical method of a surface water quality complex assessment and method of estimation of surface water quality, based on hydrochemical parameters. Authors proposed to estimate a level of technogenic load on the surface water based on the calculation of the technogenic load module on the water objects (MWO). The purpose of the work was to assess a quality of the surface waters of the Kherson region as well as to assess a level of technogenic load on the surface water bodies of the region. It is obtained that a surface water quality of the region according to the fishery requirements in the most cases is characterized by classes IVa – IVd, category “very dirty”, by drinking water - class II, category “polluted”, class IIIa, category “dirty”. There were significant exceedances of MPC according to fishery standards in terms of such substances as nitrites, Cr (VI), Cu and Ni. Maximum excesses were noted for Cr (VI) content. Also significant exceedances of the fisheries standards were observed in the content of sulfates, phosphates, Mn, BOC5, mineralization and others. In terms of economic and drinking requirements, the MPC was most often observed in such indicators as mineralization, BOC5 and Ni.With a general increase in water intake there is a decrease in the pollutants discharges. A level of technogenic load on the surface water bodies has significantly decreased. The obtained results are a part of a comprehensive study, which are devoted to the complex assessment of technogenic load on the surface water bodies of the Northwest Black Sea regions.Item Estimation of technogenic load on the surface water of the North-Western Black Sea Coast region(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-03-20) Chugai, Angelina; Dzhura, Oksana; Odessa State Environmental UniversityThe paper considers the main sources of anthropogenic pollution of the surface waters of the North-Western Black Sea Coast regions. The level of anthropogenic loading on the surface water by the volumes of sewage and pollutant discharges into the water objects is estimated.Item Analysis of technogenic load on the air basin of industrial and urban aglomerations in Ukraine(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2019-02-26) Chugai, Angelina; Bazyka, Yuliia; Odessa State Environmental UniversityThe influence of the main sources of anthropogenic pollution on the state of the air of some industrial and urban agglomerations in Ukraine is examined in the paper. The level of anthropogenic load on the air basin from the stationary and mobile sources of pollution is assessed, their contribution to the overall level of air pollution is determined.Item The life path and scientific priorities of professor Tamerlan Safranov(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-10-26) Chugai, Angelina; Odessa State Environmental University
