У статті розглядається роль і місце бібліотек в інформаційному суспільстві.The article “Library Corporate Activity as a Component of Forming an Information Society” of U. Krasnyk analyzes the rapid development of information technology on the one hand, and reduced access to scientific information in traditional forms, on the other hand, dictate the need to launch large-scale projects in the field of digital libraries. The article examines the role and place of libraries in the information society.

    Integracja biblioteki naukowej z najbliższym otoczeniem poprzez zastosowanie innowacji

    У статті «Інтеграція наукової бібліотеки з університетським середовищем шляхом застосування інновацій» розглядається впровадження інновацій в організаційні та управлінські структури наукової бібліотеки є ключовим елементом стратегії розвитку та інтеграції бібліотек з найближчим академічним середовищем. У статті представлено різні приклади інноваційних рішень, які застосовуються у трьох різних установах: у Головній бібліотеці Економічного університету в Кракові, бібліотеці Трітонія у м. Ваасе (Фінляндія), а також у Головній бібліотеці Технічного університету ім. Гедиміна у м. Вільнюс (Литва). У 2012 р. автори під час навчання в рамках програми Erasmus провели порівняльні дослідження. Аналіз результатів показав багато спільного та відмінного у діяльності установ з точки зору інтеграції бібліотеки в академічне середовище. The article “Scientific Library Integration in University Environment Through Implementation of Innovations” by K. Bilinska and J.Kava. Introducing innovation to the organization and management of research library seems to be a key element in the strategy development and integration of the library with the closest academic environment. The paper presents various examples of innovative solutions implemented in three different units: the Main Library of Cracow University of Economics, Tritonia Library in Vaasa [Finland] and the Library of the Technical University of Vilnius. The authors conducted a comparative study during a weekly training under the Erasmus scholarship in 2012. Analysis of the results showed many interesting similarities and differences in the approach to library integration with the scientific environment.

    Interlib jako narzędzie nowoczesnej Wypożyczalni Międzybibliotecznej

    Сучасний розвиток електронних бібліотечних систем у вимагає впровадження сучасних технологій їх використання. Це стосується не тільки власних фондів бібліотек але й тих, що надаються через міжбібліотечний абонемент. У тісній співпраці бібліотекознавців і спеціалістів інформаційних технологій створюються програми для задoволення потреб користувачів. Програма Інтерліб, інформаційний продукт бібліотеки Краківської політехніки, поєднує в собі уніфікацію, ситематизацію та автоматизацію процесу обслуговування міжбібліотечним абонементом. The modern development of electronic library systems requires the introduction of modern technologies in its use. It concerns not only to own funds of library, but also to those, which are provided through interlibrary exchange system. The programs are created in a close cooperation of library experts and information technology specialists for needs of users. Interlib Program is an information product of Cracow Polytechnic Library, which combines unification, systematization and automation of interlibrary exchange system service.

    Problematyka zarządzania zmianami w bibliotekach akademickich na początku XXI w.

    На основі світового досвіду розглянуто процес управління змінами в бібліотеках вищих навчальних закладів, необхідний для їхньої конкурентоспроможності на ринку освітніх та інформаційних послуг. Виокремлено основні напрями управління змінами: надання якісних послуг; орієнтація на користувача; пошук нового контингенту користувачів; виховання і формування активного користувача, реклама бібліотеки та її послуг; гнучкість персоналу бібліотеки перед можливими змінами; використання сучасних технологій; запровадження нових методів управління. The process of changes management in libraries of higher educational institutions was reviewed based on international experience. This process is necessary for competitiveness of libraries for educational and information service. The main trends of changes management were outlined: providing quality service, orientation to user, the search for a new contingent of users, education and formation of the active user, advertising of library and its service, library staff flexibility to possible changes, using of modern technology, the introduction of new management methods.
