    Problematyka zarządzania zmianami w bibliotekach akademickich na początku XXI w.

    На основі світового досвіду розглянуто процес управління змінами в бібліотеках вищих навчальних закладів, необхідний для їхньої конкурентоспроможності на ринку освітніх та інформаційних послуг. Виокремлено основні напрями управління змінами: надання якісних послуг; орієнтація на користувача; пошук нового контингенту користувачів; виховання і формування активного користувача, реклама бібліотеки та її послуг; гнучкість персоналу бібліотеки перед можливими змінами; використання сучасних технологій; запровадження нових методів управління. The process of changes management in libraries of higher educational institutions was reviewed based on international experience. This process is necessary for competitiveness of libraries for educational and information service. The main trends of changes management were outlined: providing quality service, orientation to user, the search for a new contingent of users, education and formation of the active user, advertising of library and its service, library staff flexibility to possible changes, using of modern technology, the introduction of new management methods.

    System oceny efektywności funkcjonowania biblioteki jako element nowoczesnego planowania i podejmowania decyzji

    Оцінювання і аналіз зовнішніх економічних чинників має ґрунтовне значення для оптимального планування діяльності, вибору відповідної або найкращої в конкретній ситуації стратегії функціонування, є також інструментом, що використовується для оцінки і управління ризиком або для виконання порівняльних досліджень. У доповіді представлено порівняння фінансових показників, що використовуються у дослідженнях різних країн у сфері аналізу функціонування бібліотек. Розглянуто діяльність групи польських бібліотек, пов’язаних з реалізацією проекту «Аналіз функціонування наукових бібліотек Польщі» (Analiza funkcjonowania bibliotek naukowych w Polsce (AFBN). Розглядається процедура введення даних до автоматизованої бази. Підкреслено потенційні можливості і користь, яку наукові бібліотеки можуть досягнути, беручи участь у проекті. На основі нагромадженої у базі даних AFBN інформації подано приклади цікавих аналітичних зразків, які можна використати при впровадженні іншими бібліотеками системи планування і управління. Evaluation and analysis of external economic factors have profound importance for the optimal planning of activity, choosing the proper or best strategy of functioning in a particular situation. It is also a tool used for evaluation and control of risk or for accomplishment comparative researches. The report presents the comparison of financial indicators used in researches of different countries in the analysis of the libraries functioning. The activities of a group of Polish libraries associated with the project "Analysis of the functioning of scientific libraries in Poland» (Analiza funkcjonowania bibliotek naukowych w Polsce (AFBN)) is considered. The procedure of data input to the automated database is considered. The potential opportunities and benefits that academic libraries can achieve by participating in the project are underlined. The interesting examples of analytical models that can be used when other libraries introduce the planning and management system are presented based on accumulated information in a database AFBN.
