Abstract
Mechanisms with gears are used in various fields of mechanical engineering according to the needs. Orthoses are used to rehabilitate patients in the postoperative period or during the restoration of lost limb functions. For patients to comfortably use orthoses, they must be compact, lightweight, and reliable. Gear shafts are the most loaded structural elements of such devices. This paper presents the modeling and analysis of the stress-strain state of planetary gear shafts for an elbow orthosis. The KISSsoft software package was used for the 3D modeling of finite element models and determining stresses. When modeling the transmission, the connecting elements were made of steel 45. The maximum torque of 1.732 Nm acting on the output shaft of the gearbox was used in the calculations. Comparative stress analysis was performed using the von Mises and Tresca criteria.
