Вітражі століттями привертають увагу мистецтвознавців і вчених. Особливу художню роль в оздобленні вікон, дверей, стелі відіграє вітраж. Крім традиційного використання вітражів, вони використовуються в дизайні сучасних інтер'єрів. Незважаючи на те, що вітражі не є поширеним дизайнерським рішенням в дизайні інтер’єру, вони все частіше використовуються для їх індивідуалізації в сучасному оформленні. У процесі дослідження декоративного оздоблення сучасних інтер’єрів із застосуванням вітражів розглянуто нові техніки і технології їх виконання, композиційні рішення, їх кольорову гаму, виявлено основні особливості художньої виразності. У сучасних інтер’єрах житлових приміщень можна зустріти стилізовані декоративно-орнаментальні стилізовані вітражні композиції, які характеризуються лінійним поділом скляного полотна з використанням гранованих скляних елементів. За допомогою вітражів простір вітальні наповнюється теплими або холодними, монохромними або поліхромними кольорами, що посилює візуальне сприйняття окремих елементів інтер’єру. Хоч вітражі не є поширеним дизайнерським рішенням в оформленні інтер’єрів, однак їх все частіше застосовують для індивідуалізації в сучасному оздобленні інтер’єрів житлових споруд. У процесі дослідження декоративного оздоблення сучасних інтер’єрів із застосуванням вітражів розглянуто нові техніки та технології їх виконання, композиційне рішення, їх колористичну гаму та виявлено основні особливості художньо-образного виразу. Проаналізовано вітражні композиції та визначено їх роль у сучасному дизайнерському оздобленні інтер’єрів. На основі аналізу основних видів вітража та технології його виготовлення охарактеризовано особливості та можливості використання цієї техніки для функціональної та художньо-естетичної організації сучасного житлового середовища. Сучасні вітражні композиції в інтер’єрах житлових приміщень вражають своєю естетикою, композицією, колоритом і художньою виразністю.
