The liquid phase recirculation under methanogenic fermentation of chicken manure
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-10-26) Yevheniy, Shapovalov; Anatoliy, Salyuk; National Center "Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine"; National University of Food Technologies
The article is devoted to the analysis of the methanogenesis of chicken manure with effluent’s liquid phase recycling with and without nitrogen stripping. It was determined that methanogenesis with full recirculation of the liquid phase is possible both with the sorption of ammonia nitrogen and without it. However, it was characterized by an inhibited state. Methane production was 0.51 l/l in a reactor with ammonia stripping and 0.23 l/l in a reactor without ammonia stripping. The ammonia removal efficiency was 12.5 % ammonia nitrogen. Proposed technology stripping of ammonia is characterized by a positive economic effect.

The effective hydropower potential of the Mszanka River in South Poland – the course of estimation
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-10-26) Operacz, Agnieszka; Kotowski, Tomasz; Bugajski, Piotr; University of Agriculture in Krakow
The aim of the paper was to calculate the actual (called “effective”) hydropower potential based on the identification of real possibilities of small hydro power plants realization. As an example river Mszanka in South Poland was chosen. The course of estimation was shown in Polish conditions of law, procedures and environmental barriers. The comparison of estimated values of effective potential was done with theoretical and technical potential.

Results of the drinking water ecological monitoring on the territory of the ajara autonomous republic
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-10-26) Lomtatidze, Nino; Ghachava, Natia; Abuladze, Lica; Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University
The research represented in the given work concerns studying the organoleptic, chemical and microbiological indicators in the drinking water on the territory of the Ajara Autonomous Republic. Particularly, among the organoleptic indicators the scent, taste and color of the drinking water have been determined; as for the chemical indicators – pH, ammonia and nitrite- and out of the heavy metals – lead, arsenic, cadmium and zinc have been determined.

Electrochemical extraction of zinc from acid and neutral regeneration solutions
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-10-26) Koliehova, Anastasiia; Trokhymenko, Hanna; Gomelya, Mykola; Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding; National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”
The results of the electrochemical separation of sulfate and zinc chloride regeneration solutions; the pH influence on the electrolysis process and the extracting efficiency of metallic zinc are presented in the work. It has been established that electrolysis should be carried out in a two-cell electrolyzer to remove metals effectively.

Analysis of radiological indicators in the process of environmental certification of the Chornobyl exclusion zone territory
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-10-26) Azarov, Ivan; Zaduna, Oleksiy; National Aviation University; State Research Institute of Special Telecommunication and Information Protection
The problematic issue of environmental certification of radiation hazardous objects that needs to be solved for substantial improvement of the situation in the field of environmental protection, preservation and restoration of natural systems and ecosystems is worked out. The purpose of the development of the environmental passport of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone (CEZ) territory is defined. The requirements and recommendations for the structure and content of the environmental passport of the CEZ are provided.

Preliminary characteristics of the water chemistry of lake czarne located in catchment of drwęca river
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-10-26) Grochowska, Jolanta; Płachta, Anna; Łopata, Michał; Gołaś, Iwona; Augustyniak, Renata; Tandyrak, Renata; Parszuto, Katarzyna; Tur, Mateusz; University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn
Lake Czarne is an example of a lake that has not been studied until today. The main goal of study is to characterize the hydrochemical properties of Lake Czarne (3.9 ha, 5.1 m) and its trophic condition. The lake waters were characterized by an enough high content of nutrients, up to 0.253 mg P l-1 and 5.10 mg N l-1. The high fertility of the lake was exhibited also by the values of BOD5 reaching 12.4 mg O2 l-1 and low transparency – mean value 0.6 m.

Efficiency of fibrous carrier use in biotechnologically intensified process of additional treatment of industrial waste water from petroleum products
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-10-26) Rylskyi, Oleksander; Dombrovskyi, Kostiantyn; Gvozdyak, Petro; Zaporizhzhia National University; A. V. Dumansky Institute of Colloid and Water Chemistry of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine
The paper presents the results of experimental studies on the efficiency of additional treatment of industrial waste water of the plant “Motor Sich JSC” from petroleum products with modern biotechnology of waste water treatment using the fibrous carrier “VIYA”. The comparative analysis of the efficiency of additional treatment of industrial waste water of the plant from petroleum products using the artificial fibrous carrier and the adsorbent “Ecolan” has been carried out.

System approach to the assessment of anthropogenic impact on marine ecosystems during oil production activities
(Lviv Politechnic Publishing House, 2018-10-26) Plyatsuk, Leonid; Ablieieva, Iryna; Gabbasova, Sabina; Mamutova, Alua; Sumy State University; Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
The system of quality categories, integrated and single indicators was created for the marine ecosystem under the impact of oil production. On the basis of the integral differential approach, a significant and moderate degree of influence has been substantiated for the stages of drilling the well and extracting oil, as well as an insignificant impact for seismic exploration and decommissioning.
