Abstract
The results of research into the wear processes of ferrite-pearlitic steels are presented. A
simulation model of the structure is proposed, which, when using the method of sketched elements, allows
choosing the optimal amount of the solid component in steel, which ensures an increase in its wear
resistance. The resulting technique made it possible to establish the optimal parameters of the structure of
wheel steels after surfacing.
