Аналіз основної польської історіографії профспілкового руху в Галичині

Abstract

This paper reviews Polish historiography on the trade union movement in Galicia, focusing on various interpretative approaches across different historical periods. From early socialist publications and interwar analyses to Marxist narratives during the communist era and post-1990 scholarly re-evaluations, Polish historians have provided valuable insights into labor activism in the region. Special attention is given to archival research, ethnic dynamics within unions, and the impact of national politics. The overview highlights both the strengths and limitations of Polish historiography and its significance for a broader understanding of Central and Eastern European labor history.
