Формування рецепції вчення св. Августина на українських землях: провенієнції та каталоги

Abstract

This article explores the impact of Saint Augustine’s teachings on the development of philosophical and theological discourse in Ukraine during the Renaissance and early Baroque periods. The author analyses bibliographic sources, translations, and printed editions of Augustine’s works in Latin and Polish, as well as their dissemination throughout the Ukrainian lands. Special attention is given to the use of inventory catalogues and provenance records as key sources for tracing the reception of Augustinian thought. The study offers new approaches and perspectives for assessing Augustine’s legacy in the Ukrainian intellectual tradition, highlighting the significance of intercultural diffusion and intellectual exchange within the educational processes of the time.
