Abstract
The author researches the origin of ISAF and evolution of
NATO military operations in Afghanistan and how the
influenced on the security and stability establishment in the
country. It is scrutinized the handicaps placed in the way of
successful implementation of the mission and main conflict of
interests among member countries of the Alliance. The author
examines NATO’s role in Afghanistan and gives the
assessment of its activity towards democratization of this
country.
