Abstract
The paper studies the current state of the machine-building enterprises of Ukraine. In the paper the
most problematic economic and social issues that hinder the development of domestic machine-building industry are singled out. The necessity of the application of modern management - business process reengineering to improve production and economic activity of Ukrainian machinebuilding
enterprises is grounded.
