Лабораторії як осердя науково-дослідної частини Львівського політехнічного інституту (1944 – початок 1980-х рр.)

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано особливості організації роботи лабораторій Львівської політехніки упродовж радянського періоду на основі архівних документів. Початок Другої світової війни перервав навчальну і наукову роботу закладу та завдав серйозної шкоди матеріальній базі. Відповідно, процеси відновлення роботи лабораторій, вирішення труднощів їхнього оснащення, розробки напрямів науково-дослідної роботи післявоєнного етапу постають цікавим об’єктом для дослідження. Архівні матеріали, зокрема щорічні звіти про діяльність інституту, плани, тематика та звіти науково-дослідної роботи, офіційне листування з міністерством та іншими вищими інституціями, матеріали нарад, інформація про міжнародну співпрацю та участь у виставках досягнень науки та техніки в інших країнах тощо надають солідну базу для всебічного вивчення згаданої проблематики. У дослідженні здійснено спробу висвітлити процеси відновлення та створення нових лабораторій та специфіку їхньої діяльності упродовж періоду 1940-х– початку 1980-х рр.

The article analyzes the peculiarities of organizing of laboratories work in Lviv Polytechnic during the Soviet period on the basis of archival documents. The beginning of the Second World War interrupted the educational and scientific work of the institution and seriously damaged the material base. Accordingly, the processes of restoring the work of laboratories, solving the difficulties of their equipment, developing directions of research work of the post-war stage are an interesting subject for research. In 1944 the scientific and research sector was established at the institute. The organization of the research part was carried out in 1978. These subdivisions had realized significant volumes of scientific research. Archival materials, in particular annual reports on the Institute's activities, plans, themes and reports of research, official correspondence with the ministry and other higher institutions, materials of the meetings, information about international cooperation and participation in exhibitions of achievements in science and technology in other countries, etc., provide a solid basis for a comprehensive study of this theme. The research attempts to highlight the issues of reestablishment and organization of new laboratories and the specifics of their activities during the period of the 1940s and early 1980s. The investigation of achievements, scientific and technical developments of Lviv Polytechnic scientists of the last century may lead to new ideas for further scientific and inventive research. Such study gives a possibility to reveal the dynamics, difficulties, methods of their solution, changes in thematic plans, priority directions of research work, statistical data, etc. At the same time, this subject demonstrates the specifics of Soviet approach to planning and organization of scientific research in higher educational institutions with all negative and positive aspects. The study of the laboratories of this period opens a wide horizon for enriching the history of Lviv Polytechnic and achievements of the University in the research field.
