Дослідження картографування Львова середини ХVIIІ – початку ХХ століття

Abstract

Метою цієї роботи є аналіз та дослідження картографування території міста Львова із виконанням картбіб- ліографії та історіографії середини ХVIIІ – поч. ХХ ст. для подальшого встановлення елементів картографування міста та визначення змін адміністративних меж міста та його основних архітектурно-планувальних компонентів. Методика та результати ґрунтуються на історико-порівняльному методі, джерелознавчому, картографічному аналізі та системному підході до вивчення старовинних карт та планів Львова. Завдяки їм історичні уявлення про місто Львів дають можливість моделювати та водночас встановлювати стародавні поселення, фортеці або інші важливі об’єкти, які могли бути втрачені або забуті. На прикладі великого обласного міста Львів представлено 24 карти та плани, на основі яких подано модель його картографування. Серед елементів картографування міста можна виділити дві основні складові: об’ємно-просторові об’єкти та елементи географічної основи карти. Для урбанізованих територій передбачено картографування таких об’єктів у вигляді міських територій, сільських територій, військових споруд, культурно-освітніх споруд, сакральних об’єктів, закладів торгівлі, відпочинково- лікувальних споруд, фінансово-господарських, а також фортифікаційних споруд. Серед елементів географічної основи для картографування пропонуємо природні об’єкти та зелені насадження, об’єкти гідрографії, дороги та транспорт. Наукова новизна та практична значущість полягають у здійсненні картбібліографії, узагальненому описанні всіх картографічних творів, виданих на територію міста Львова впродовж 1766–1900 рр., та детальному багатоаспектному узагальненні тематичного та змістового наповнення планів. Крім цього, запропоновано класи- фікацію та виділено основні елементи картографування міста. Теоретичними результатами дослідження може скористатись широке коло спеціалістів: архітекторів – урбаністів, географів, істориків, картографів та працівни- ків органів міського самоврядування. Перспектива подальших досліджень передбачає збирання та оцифрування цих планів, із подальшим застосування ГІС-технологій, що дасть змогу інтегрувати всі джерела до єдиної систе- ми на базі геопорталу карт та планів Львова.

The purpose of this work is to analyze and study the mapping of the territory of the city of Lviv with the help of a map bibliography and historiography of the mid-seventeenth – early twentieth centuries to further establish the elements of city mapping and determine changes in the administrative boundaries of the city and its main architectural and planning components. The methodology and results are based on the historical and comparative method, source and cartographic analysis, and a systematic approach to the study of ancient maps and plans of Lviv. They provide historical insights into the city of Lviv, make it possible to model and at the same time identify ancient settlements, fortresses, or other important objects that may have been lost or forgotten. Using the example of the large regional city of Lviv as an example, 24 maps and plans are presented on the basis of which the city mapping model is presented. Among the elements of city mapping, two main components can be distinguished, namely spatial objects and elements of the geographic basis of the map. For urbanized areas and buildings, the mapping of such objects as urban areas, rural areas, military installations, cultural and educational facilities, sacred objects, trade facilities, recreational and medical facilities, financial and economic facilities, and fortifications is envisaged. Among the elements of the geographical basis for mapping, we propose natural objects and green spaces, hydrographic objects, roads and transportation. The scientific novelty and practical significance of the article lies in the generalized description of all cartographic works published on the territory of Lviv in 1766–1900, and a detailed multidimensional generalization of the thematic and content of the maps. In addition, a classification is proposed and the main elements of the city's mapping are identified. The theoretical results of this study can be used by a wide range of specialists: urban architects, geographers, historians, cartographers, and city government officials. The prospect of further research involves the collection and digitization of plan data, followed by the application of GIS technologies, which will allow the integration of all sources into one single system based on the geoportal of maps and plans of Lviv.
