Abstract
The dependence of the driver's reaction time on the cognitive functions of the brain is described in this
thesis. The reasons of changes of these functions in the driving process of the vehicle are resulted. The types
of memory that play an important role in the driver's work are identified. Changes in the driver's reaction
time in an unfamiliar area or in an area with a changed traffic pattern are outlined.
