    Study of real-time operating system including programmable logic controller functionality

    t. The article describes the developed real-time operating system “VladOS”, which is a set of modules and utilities from which the required system for controlling the eco-house should be assembled. Users can load their written applications into the file system in the form of binary files. System generation involves selecting an active configuration from a list of available user applications, setting values of system configurations, compiling system module parameters using this configuration, and linking system modules into an executable program. Additionally, the performance of the developed operating system is assessed through a comparison with the widely recognized Arduino core, with the “SmartHatka” treehouse serving as a representative example. Essentially, “SmartHatka” is a Ukrainian smart eco-house.

    Quality monitoring during installation of large tempered glass structures

    The need to ensure the quality of installation of large-sized structures made of tempered glass following European standards is emphasized, the relevance of which is emphasized with the acquisition of the status of a candidate for the EU by our country. This provides access to the construction industry to European manufacturers and exports the products of Ukrainian enterprises abroad. Unification of requirements for both fitting tools and quality control tools during the deployment and operation of large-sized tempered glass products has been ensured. The need to automate measuring operations from the moment of manufacturing tempered glass to the moment of its putting in place at the construction site is substantiated. It is shown that for the automation of measuring operations during the insertion of large-sized panes of tempered glass, it is appropriate to use optical measurement methods.

    Protocols comparison for real-time data streaming from IoT devices to a cloud-based solution

    The proper detection and prevention of malfunctions are crucial in mitigating maintenance costs and equipment replacements for agricultural vehicles, ultimately reducing the expenses associated with crop cultivation. Predictive analytics for agriculture vehicles leverage machine learning and sensor data to anticipate equipment faults, optimize maintenance schedules, and enhance operational efficiency in the farming industry. It heavily relies on real-time data transmission to continuously monitor equipment performance, enabling timely identification of potential issues and preemptive maintenance actions to prevent costly breakdowns and downtime. This paper employs a qualitative analysis approach utilizing the Architecture Tradeoff Analysis Method to evaluate and select an optimal data protocol from a set of candidates, including SOAP, HTTP, REST, CoAP, WebSocket, XMPP, MQTT, and AMQP. The analysis considers sensitivity points, tradeoff factors, risks, and quality attribute scenarios relevant to the usage scenarios. The findings indicate that MQTT is the preferred protocol for real-time data streaming in resourceconstrained environments, contingent upon a reliable connection.

    DC motor control system with optimization of the transient duration

    The synthesis of the structure of the automatic control system of direct current motors is carried out, and the methodology of the study of the duration of the transient process during the control of the direct current motor is presented. A study of the influence of the regulator parameters on the duration of the transition process was carried out, which allowed to choose the optimal ones for the criterion of the minimum duration of the transition process.

    Expert assessment of the competencies and results of bachelor's study according to the standard of higher education in information and measurement technologies

    The article establishes the relevance of researching the importance of applied competencies and learning results in the standard of higher education for obtaining the bachelor's degree in the specialty “Information and measurement technologies”. To achieve the goal, the description and requirements of competencies and learning results were analyzed, and an algorithm for group expert assessment of their importance was proposed and substantiated. Based on the assessment, the priority of professional competencies and learning results was established. The most important competencies and learning results that can significantly influence the quality of education in the specialty are determined. Competences and learning results with the least impact on the quality of education in the specialty have been identified, which may indicate their formal nature. To better balance the system of competencies and learning results, it is necessary to pay special attention to those that have the least influence during the next revision of the standard of higher education for the training of bachelors in the specialty “Information and measurement technologies”. The changes to the description of competencies and learning results proposed by the experts take into account the current trends in the development of the industry, provisions of current legislation, regulatory documents, and established terminology in the field of metrology and information and measurement technologies.

    Comparative assessment of renewable sources for critical facilities of decentralized supply

    The concept of energy supply is widely discussed, but there is no consensus on ways of its provision. In the current research, we have provided an analysis of available combinations of renewable sources for decentralized energy supply. It is important for critical facilities on territorial society and district levels. The article considers the safety of the technical component of a complex organizational and technical system by studying the functional relationship between the parameters: temperature, time, active power, hydrogen participation, etc. The idea of the work is to evaluate the ratios of generating capacities of different types of renewable sources in complex systems and select highly efficient technologies and energy means for decentralized energy supply.

    System for determining the sound source coordinates

    The authors investigated the effect of changes in the acoustic signal propagation speed and the accuracy of sensor positioning on the accuracy of sound source localization. The mean absolute error grows with the displacement of the microphones relative to the nominal coordinates (X, Y). The same trend is observed with an increase in the actual acoustic signal velocity deviation from the velocity under normal environmental conditions. The authors propose two ways to reduce the error caused by these factors. The first method is to introduce a correction factor for the speed of the acoustic signal. The second method is to reduce the distance between the system's sensors. This makes it possible to place them more accurately relative to each other.

    Series termination of single-ended LVCMOS signals

    For synchronous signals with fast edges traces on printed circuit boards are transmission lines, not just conductor connections. If the length of the PCB trace exceeds certain values, it is necessary to match its impedance with the signal source and/or receiver. Impedance mismatches would bring signal reflections from the source to the receiver and back through the transmission line. Such reflection or distortion of the signal is called "echo" or "ringing". It is shown in emissions and irregularities of the waveform, especially the rise and fall edge. In this article, practical guidelines for sequential termination of one-way signals are considered that would resolve such effects. The simulations were done for LVCMOS signals [1].

    Optimised adaptive load balancing method in SDN networks using the adaptive ANT colony approach

    In modern software-defined networks, providing efficient load balancing is a crucial task for optimal resource utilization and ensuring stable quality of service. To achieve these goals, in this paper, we propose a new innovative loadbalancing method for SDN networks based on an anticolonial approach with dynamic parameter settings. This proposed method demonstrates high efficiency in the face of variable network dynamics and diverse node loads. Its main advantage is the ability to adapt to changing load and traffic conditions in real-time. The algorithm continuously analyses the load on the nodes and dynamically adjusts the weighting factors to ensure optimal traffic distribution. The proposed method stands out due to its ability to effectively maintain load balance under a variety of calls and loads, making it a powerful tool for ensuring reliability and performance in networks.
