Content Verification vs Gender: Case Study of Female Media Studies Students

Abstract

A survey on how media studies students deal with disinformation was conducted in March and April 2024. The online survey was completed by students at Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin and the University of Warsaw. I was most interested in questions about whether students verify information, if so, whether they use online tools to do so, and if not, what the reason is. The results below refer to the answers given by female media studies students at the above universities.
